Rumpo
Rumpo is a low, grassy peninsula on the south side of Vormsi island, a remote and unhurried corner of western Estonia reached only by ferry. The shallow, gently shelving water off the peninsula is its appeal: it stays flat and butter-smooth in the right wind, ideal for relaxed freeriding, early foiling and freestyle progression. It works through a broad arc from the east around to the north, with northwest or southeast offering the cleanest side-shore angle; steer clear of the straight offshore northeast. Launch space is generous across open meadow and sandy shallows with few obstacles, though watch your footing on stones near the waterline. Wind is most reliable in spring through autumn but you take what the Baltic gives you. This is about as quiet as kiting gets, you will rarely see another rider, and the calm shallows make it forgiving for improving beginners and intermediates.
