Prasonisi, at the southernmost tip of Rhodes, is one of the Mediterranean's classic kite spots: a sandy tombolo joining a small islet to the main island, with the open sea on one side and a sheltered bay on the other. That layout gives two faces in the same N to NW Meltemi wind, flat, shallow, side-shore water in the bay for beginners and freestyle, and choppier water with rolling waves on the exposed side for the experienced. The Meltemi blows hard and consistently through the summer, peaking June to September when 20-30 knots is common. There is a vast open sandbar to rig and launch on, so space is rarely an issue. As a renowned destination packed with schools and rental fleets it gets very crowded in peak season, so keep upwind awareness sharp; watch the current and shallow sandbar where the two seas meet.

Kremasti on the north coast of Rhodes is one of the island's most popular and accessible kite spots, a thermal-and-Meltemi wind machine that suits everyone from beginners taking lessons to intermediates honing freeride and small-wave skills. It works on the SW, WSW and W directions, with summer winds typically lighter in the morning and ramping into the low-to-mid 20s by afternoon; the peak season runs June to September when windless days are rare thanks to the reliable thermal effect. The water is choppy with rideable waves on bigger days, matching the wave-prone profile here. A wide sandy-pebbly beach gives plenty of launch and rigging space, with a buoyed corridor separating kiters from swimmers, so staying upwind matters. Being close to Rhodes airport and full of schools, it gets busy at weekends and peak times, though heading further upwind opens up room. Scattered rocks underfoot are the main hazard.
