Navene, just north of Malcesine on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, is one of the lake's classic kite and windsurf spots, set against dramatic alpine scenery and famous for clockwork thermal winds. Mornings bring the Peler from the north, strong and gusty at 25-35 knots from dawn until around 10:30, while afternoons switch to the steadier southerly Ora at roughly 15-18 knots, ideal for relaxed freeride and foiling. The season runs April to November, best from May to September. The water is mixed, choppier in the strong morning Peler. Launch space is limited and the shore is rocky and pebbly rather than a broad beach, so setup is tighter and a dedicated kite-club area is used. It gets crowded in season with windsurfers and kiters sharing the water. The strong morning wind and rocks make it best for intermediates and up.
