Pigeon Point is Tobago's best-known kite spot, a classic Caribbean setup where the offshore Buccoo Reef shelters Bon Accord Lagoon from the open sea. Inside the lagoon you get flat, shallow water that is great for cautious beginners and trick practice, while reef passes and the outer edge serve up waves for those who want them, so the stored wave profile reflects that exposed side. Wind blows from the N, NNE and E through the Caribbean winter, typically 12-20 knots, with the most consistent breeze from around November to May and smooth lagoon riding at low tide. The sandy beach offers easy room to set up and launch a short hop from Crown Point. As a famous holiday spot it can get busy with schools and visiting riders, especially in peak season. Mind the reef and rocks at low water; suits all levels, with the lagoon ideal for learners.
