Mui Ne Bay
Mui Ne is Vietnam's flagship kite destination, a long stretch of beach near Phan Thiet famous for trade-wind reliability, with wind blowing roughly 230 days a year. The headline season runs November to March, when the dry-season trades hold steady from the northeast at a punchy 18 to 30 knots and pick up through midday into late afternoon. As the wind builds, swell develops into well-spaced waves, so it ranges from manageable bump near shore to proper wave riding further out, rewarding intermediate and advanced riders while the main beach stays workable for lessons. The beach is wide with good room to launch and land, and kite stations help keep you clear of other beachgoers. It does get busy, with kiters, schools and tourists sharing the water at peak, but the beach spreads far enough to find space. Sandy launch, no major fixed hazards beyond the crowds and the surf.
